A little help?

Ok, so my xbox has started giving me the 1 light error. Let me give you a run down of what happens

I put in a xbox 360 game and it starts to load...then i get an e75 error message. If I put in anything other type of media it will just go straight to e75. If I have no disc in then the screen will just remain black when I turn it on. Any ideas? :?

Fatal harddrive error. This means all of your achievements, and saved data are gone forever, and Microsoft won't fix that for free.

No...I am pretty sure thats the same error I had....and it wasnt the hard drive. Some other internal problem, though (maybe AV)............and you will have to play $100 and call Microsoft to fix it. Sorry about your luck, but mine was the same way. Keep the harddrive and faceplate if you have a custom one, and get ready to ship it in.

No, dude. Just call them, tell them you got the three flashing red lights (red ring of death) and they will ship you a box to send it to them in. They will send you a repaired one free of charge. What they do, is they put all of the broken ones in the room, and put fixed ones in another room. When they get one from your specific address, they throw it in the broken room, and ship you one right out from the broken room. Just say you got the RROD and it's smooth sailing.

Except you obviously know nothing of what they do, and when they check to see if you were being serious, or if you just wanted a new Xbox without having to spend money, I'm pretty sure they can take you to court.

Right....

I'm on my third one, I know the process.

So, you've never been in the building, know no one working there, or even seen it, and you know how it functions?

his explanation sounded logical to me.... i'm sure they would find out if it wasn't the 3ROD that caused the error though. That would suck

Actually, theres kind of a way to cheat the system so you do get the 3 Red lights..........intentionally overheat it. I was told if you wrap it in a few blankets and leave it on for a while it would do the trick.

My buddy did that, since his xbox was already broken, and he didn't want to pay to get it fixed. I wish he would have told me that before I sent mine in. :p

It only melts the souter back together, to make a connection in the system somewhere. A little bit evaporates each time, and if you keep doing the towel trick (which you will, because it's only a temporary fix) your system won't work at all. Tell your buddy to call them and order the box now, because it won't last for long. The longest I've ever gotten out of the towel trick is about three hours.
