Animal Crossing Anyone?

Am I the only one still saddly addicted to this game? I get this weird itches every now and than were I just have to start a new town and play till about my third upgrade than I get busy and my town gets all weeded....but it was still a very good game, no?
 
I just bought this game yesterday. Took me 5 different stores to find it. I've had so much fun with this game so far. ^_^

Yes... I am still addicted to the game.. I just got frustrated not being able to find the friggin snail! I swear... the snail is not in my game. It's the last insect. I've never seen one in the close to 3 years I've played Animal Crossing.

AC is a great game! Very very fun. You should get the DS version and play online with us :)

Oh I've caught plenty of snails! I keep like three of them in my room all you have to do is plant A LOT of flowers, and than go search ALL OF THEM while it is raining. My take some time but it's not as horrible as finding that STUPID FRINKING GHOST IN THE WEE HOURS OF THER MORNING! I try and try and try and search and search and search but I can never find him and I end up picking all my weeds by hand. Grrrr
 
I actually just in the recent few days have been getting deeply into it. I picked it up a while back as some of you recall. Here's a few questions.

I bought mine with a memory card included, it was a Players Choice edition of the game. Just wondering, did it always include a memory card or was this a bonus for the Players Choice version of the game?

What did everyone name their town?

Apparently to do some stuff you need to hook up your GBA, I don't have a link up cable but I can get it, but do you need any specific game to access it?

Might have a few more later on. I'm still very early in the game. Finished my errands for Nook and have my mortgage payment down to 8500. As for names and don't laugh, my characters name is Tommy V and my towns name is Vice City. :lol :lol It's a much more mellow town then I remembered. :D
 
Well I am currently on vacation and today was a stay at home and chill day. I played quite a bit earlier. I finished paying off my mortgage and have approved the remodeling of my house. I've got over $25,000 to spend. Fishing has become very profitable. I've donated a ton of fish to the Museum and still been able to sell a ton to ol' Nook. The Red Snapper is the best so far at $3,000 apiece. :D I've dug up 6 fossils so far and have already mailed them to the museum to be identified. I've decently furnished my lil box of a house. I'm looking forward to seeing how much bigger my house will now be. :D I'm just waiting for the opportunity to buy a net so I can begin capturing insects.
 
Good deal. Wait till you catch some better fish like the Stripped Knife Jaw or whatever it is...sells for...and the Csdfheouirtg *thats me not attempting to spell that one huge sea fish* that sells for 10k...but some are worth more....and if you get duplicate fossils those get a pretty bell too
 
Yeah I look forward to it. It took me a while to get into this game but now I'm really enjoying it. Now I really, really want to get Harvest Moon. I've heard great things about that one and have heard it plays rather similarly to this one.

On a side note last night I messed up and reset the game a few minutes after my save. I was promptly scolded when I returned. I gotta good chuckle out of that. :lol
 
If you do it a lot fo times Mr. resetti gives you totally crap. It's funny though, after awhile his brother comes out...than at some point he makes you type resetting = *insert skull face*

Yeah that totally caught me off gaurd. When he first emerged I was like WTH?! :o Then I gotta chuckle out of it. :lol
 
The entire game is full of a sort of subtle humour, it's just one of those games that can be played inbetween WoW and KH that is more laid back and refreshing. The graphics make me go wheee and I LOVE the Tailors.
 
Yeah it is kinda kewl to play a game where you don't have to worry about what nasties lurk around the corner or who's comin' to get ya or whatever. Just sit back and chill while you enjoy a laid back yet challenging and fun game to play. :D
 
I'm guessing it goes on for as long as you want it to. Maybe once you collect all the items in the game there may be some quasi ending but you can continue on. Kinda like GTA, where once you get 100% you can still continue to play the game forever essentially.

Gotta question. I was just playing and I was walking around when I happened to notice a balloon with a present attached to it floating nearby. I followed it thinking it might come down but it never did and just floated away. What was it? What do I need to get it the next time I see it?
 
There is no ending....none....once you pay all your morgage you get "commemorative gift outside the trainstation" than you just keep chugging along, collecting all the bugs and fish get you some nice items, and decorations for your house....same with the fossils and paintings at the museum.

As for the present hope it runs into a treetop, it'll get stuck and than just shake the tree and pick it up after it falls.
 
Yeah about the fossils and things in the ground, is that stuff random? I've found 8 fossils so far, but I'm wondering if it's a random type thing?
 
I have a nes game in AC, but have not found a nes yet. I got the cool big store with the little twin raccoons upstairs. I loaned the game to my kid sister, and I have it back now, but have not played it again yet.
