Apollo's Horror Movie Cat

Man, it's been CRAZINESS OVER HERE! I am sad to admit that with everything going on, this forum has been one of the last things on my mind, but it feels good to post on something other than my blog for once. When I'm not doing some kind of chore or schoolwork or dealing with some new freakishness that comes along, I'm playing my guitar, piano, or scribbling in my notebook while I ruin my ears in a pair of headphones. That's actually been going really well. I've been writing songs that include lyrics and vocals, and I'm making quick learning progress. I even just recently founded my own band. My Dad is pretty impressed with my music lately, so he actually bought me a GENUINE Fender Stratocaster, and a Vox Valvetronix guitar amp for my 15th birthday last month! I would post some of my lyrics up here on the forum, but I'm just really afraid that someone would steal them. My Dad and sisters and I have been completely moved into the new house for a few months now, and I like it much better than our last area. We have a good sized garage here, and my Dad was able to get a commercial pool table for free through his work connections, so after school, my brother and I hang out in the garage shooting some pool, playing some guitar, and listening to some Seether (the band) while we try to come up with new music ideas.

But yeah, happy or sad, it's always really hectic in some way or other around here right now, but I'll try to get some more posts up here again.

It's my cat. She actually lays on her back. You can see her face looking towards the camera in the left side of the pic. See the eyes and ears? Her whiskers are even there. There is a magazine holder behind her. She's a black cat, so the effect I used on the computer caused her to blend together into one shape because there aren't any contrasting colors on her. I thought it looked pretty cool that way.

pretty cool :)

so things are better than your last location?  Maybe I shouldn't ask... but what was your last location

regardless... its good to have you back :) hopefully we'll see you around

I've been in Arizona all my life... 111 average Summer temperature wheather AZ. ::D The difference is that my last neighborhood was, well... Rough, to say the least. I had to stop being friends with a dude I'd known since I was 5 years old about a year before we left that place, because he decided to become a drug dealer. Drive-by shootings were a common thing, I saw a man get shot in the back of the knee, a woman get pulled into a moving car, I almost had my life shortened dramatically by some punks just because I told them to stop beating a dog, and I got so used to the area that I began to critique the latest graffiti. So, yeah... The new area is much better. ::D My Dad doesn't allow me to be specific about my location on the internet though, so I'll leave it at AZ.

hey... no need to be specific about your location, thats fine and confidential :)

man... that sounds ROUGH though... I bet your glad to be outta there, eh?

Yeah, I'm a fan of the abstract world. One of my artistic fads right now is musical themed modern art. When you hear the term "modern art", you most likely think of someone swinging a can of paint in the general direction of a wall, but I mean paintings and sculptures. Ever heard of a painter named, Alfred Gockel? We have two of his paintings in our living room. I'm actually doing a peice inspired by his work right now. It's going to be pencils and ink.
