As of now... how many games are out for the Atomiswave? Are any of them really good?

I never got into the atomis wave, or had a chance to buy one yet .. or even try it out. There are none at our local arcades..etc.

Anyway... post up your opinions :)

The atomiswave is based on the Naomi board. The games are really too expensive to try and collect. Unless there are one or two games you really want to own, don't bother buying one. Below is a partial list of games from Wikipedia.
2003
Demolish Fist
Dolphin Blue
Guilty Gear X Version 1.5
Maximum Speed
Premier Eleven
Sports Shooting USA
Sushi Bar

2004
Chase 1929
Dirty Pigskin Football
Faster Than Speed
Force Five (unreleased)
Guilty Gear Isuka
Kenju (unreleased)
The King of Fighters Neowave
Knights of Valour: The Seven Spirits
Ranger Mission
The Rumble Fish
Salaried Worker Golden Taro

2005
Extreme Hunting
Fist of the North Star (Hokuto No Ken)
Horse Racing
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum
The Rumble Fish 2
Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkyakuden
The King of Fighters XI

2006
Metal Slug 6

Hey rossdh,

I have a bunch of these Atomiswave Games, and I designed custom inserts for them =).
Each ROM cart, cab stickers, and manual are displayed in a Neo Geo MVS Shock Box!!

I would definitely buy these Atomiswave games: (in my favorite order)
Metal Slug 6, Fist of the North Star, KOF XI, Samurai Spirits, Knights of Valour,
Guilty Gear Isuka, and Demolish Fist.

Here are my Atomiswave games (so far):
Pictures were taken on September 18, 2006.

I'm still looking for Premier Eleven, Chase 1929, Force Five, and others.

My two newest Atomiswave games, from a few months ago,
are Fist of the North Star and Metal Slug 6!!

Two of the BEST!!

ps: I've only had the Atomiswave for about 2 years now...
(I have 4 mobos, including sealed brand new Demolish Fist and Dolphin Blue kits.)

so... do they actually come in hardshell cases like that?

what are the going prices for some of these games?

No, the AW Cart doesn't come with a case or an insert.
I used the standard Neo Geo MVS Shock Boxes,
and custom designed my own inserts.

Some of the prices that I paid:
(Prices are a little lower now, and games are hard to find)

2003
Demolish Fist: $450 (Kit with mobo)
Dolphin Blue: $450 (Kit with mobo)
Guilty Gear X Version 1.5: $300

2004
Guilty Gear Isuka: $450
The King of Fighters Neowave: $800 (Kit with mobo)
Knights of Valour: The Seven Spirits: $300
The Rumble Fish: $300

2005
Fist of the North Star (Hokuto No Ken) $750 Rare
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum: $650 (Kit with mobo)
The Rumble Fish 2: $350
Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkyakuden: $1200 Rare
The King of Fighters XI: $1200 Rare

2006
Metal Slug 6L $1000 Rare

Metal SLug 6 is rare for the Atomiswave?   What... they made it a small release?

BV :hat

You got it!! Metal Slug 6 will probably be SNK's last game for the Atomiswave...
So, they didn't make a BIG release for the AW system.
It is Rare!!

My custom Atomiswave Metal Slug 6 Insert.

8man, you have one of the best collections I have ever seen. Please, if you get a chance, post some pictures of your atomiswave system, I would love to see it. The only game I would like to pick up the Atomiswave for is Samurai Shodown 6. But that is just because I am a SS nut.:)

SS6 has an incredible line-up of characters. Some of the best I have seen in the series.

What is this I hear about Playmore not developing for the atomiswave? I thought that was their whole excuse for dumping the Neo?
