Hi Addicts!

Somebody told me once that if your PS3 or 360 is hooked up to the Internet and you try to burn games, they can detect you.I'm not really sure myself.I know one thing, that would be a huge charge if someone was caught. Is this true?

God Bless,

It's possible. I remember someone got Halo 3 early and get on live and got banned from live because of it. I'm not sure about burning games but they can detect it though. :-\

The systems themselves can't burn games.

They can sometimes play burned games, but the only way to play burned games is to have a modded system (which is illegal). And, I know Microsoft has ways of telling when a system has been modded. So that's how they can get you.

Please be careful not to tread on the rules with this topic.
9.) NO ROMS/ROMZ/EMUS/BURNT GAMES/MODDING... or any other "illegal" gaming links will be allowed. This is strictly enforced. Game Addicts does not endorse in any way, shape, or form the use of emulators, roms, CD-RS, pirated games, mod chips, or anything else that is not made directly by the manufacturor or used in conjunction with the intended original system.

Hi Mai!

Don't worry about me.I have absolutely no idea what half of that stuff means. :D

There was some scandal a few months back involving people who had hacked 360's and were using bots to win multiplayer games online. They were caught, their gamerscores were reset to zero, and they had a tag on their names that let everyone know that at one time they were cheating.

I'm not sure to what extent Microsoft monitors and pursues those who have done illegal things to their console, but there's really no reason to find out the extent of their involvement when it shouldn't matter to you one way or another.

In terms of ripping and burning games... there are more places than one to catch people who do this. You don't need to be caught by Microsoft's internal security to be arrested for bootlegging.

To put it bluntly, if you're not involved in it, don't worry about it, and if you are, then this really isn't the forum for you.

Just for the record I am in no way shape or form involved with that kind of crew.Even if I was, with my skills,I'd probably be fired. :lol :lol
