Does Mr.Obama Have More To Fear For His Safety Because He's An African American

Hello People!

As disgusting as it is,this world still has it's fair share of racist scum,especially in North America.Do you think that there's still racist people that will be gunning
for Mr.Obama.As much as I try to see the good in people,I can't help but think that he is a prime target for racist groups because he is an African American President.Am I just being paranoid?

Surely Mr.Obama and his family have had that thought go through their minds as well.Let's just hope I'm being too paranoid....am I?

What are your thoughts on this subject?

I hate to say it, but many tales have been written about the death of the first US African American president.

Yes, he is a primary target for many hate groups. Can't deny that, but I think he'll be okay. It's just speculators and theories from years ago.

To me, it's about as stupid as believing in the end of the world is on 12/12/2012.

The Lord has a set clock on us all, when he sees what time you're done, he'll pull you out of the living world. Don't know when, don't know how, but he'll do it. Just remember, it'll be your time when he does.

I doubt he is at much more harm than Bush was. With an 84% approval rating from all Americans any group would be unwise. Unless there is a massive elimination of 25% of all jobs in the USA as well a decision to hike taxes then maybe perhaps he would be at higher risk of meeting an assassinations death.

How are you Mega? I'm not too sure why,if memory serves,not even Jesus knows when God The Father is going to lay the hammer down.

Exactly. So when we don't know and he doesn't know (maybe). Then it's time to just live our lives like we would and really shouldn't worry about it.

It is precisely his popularity that makes him a high risk target. JFK was easily one of the most charismatic and beloved Presidents of the US, and he was the one President in the last century that was successfully assassinated. Attempts were made on various other popular presidents as well, including FDR, the only President to be elected for 4 consecutive terms (partly because its grossly unconstitutional). So I don't know if Obama's popularity vs. Bush's disapproval rating really factors in all that much.

Its more about which, and not how many, people would like to see Obama out of office. Personally I think if he is assassinated it will not be because of his skin color, but because of his policies. To dumb it down to its essential components, Obama proposes to take from the rich and give to the poor, something I find quite admirable and noble and completely approve of, but the rich don't like sharing, and they may resist.

The Amendment wasn't added until after FDR's presidency. So, it wasn't unconstitutional during his time. It was just not considered proper.

I think Obama will be fine. Like I have said before, he has four years. Assassination attempts will be there. But the possibility of success will not.
