This is HILARIOUS. If you find yourself playing 80 hours of games per week. You're not as hardcore and crazy as I was. :lol

I think it's pathetic how they try to use that woman who's mentally challenged son killed himself "over Everquest". No normal, sane person is going to kill themself over a video game.

let's remember the fact that these are people who are affected by friendship or relationship through MMOs the game itself might not have caused this people to commit suicide but rather someone playing in it might have hurt her emotionally in some way, so it's still not fault in my opinion (though there's no many details so she could have killed herself because she lost a very important item or something of the sort, which would mean she was indeed crazy)

Didn't we just hear about an article written by some guy who said video games can't be considered art because they don't affect people deeply and emotionally?

And now Dr. Phil is saying people become too emotionally involved with video games...

Perhaps these people don't fully grasp the concept they are speaking about. I wonder if they've ever even played a video game.

Edit: I was just breezing through the comments on the link, thought this one was especially special.

InfernoT's response to a statement made by Dr. Phil.

Dr. Phil: "Apparently he's got you supporting him and taking care of the house. I wonder what level that is in the real world," Dr. Phil quips.

InfernoT: He's earned it, the Marriage quest is a pain in the *** to finish.

Dr. Phil is a second rate hack. I'm sure he did the status quo on this subject trotted out a handful of mental cases and painted them as being typicail gamers.
