Experts urge switch from IE.

The major press outlets are abuzz this morning with news of a major new security flaw that affects all versions of Internet Explorer from IE5 to the latest beta of IE8. The attack has serious and far-reaching ramifications -- and they're not just theoretical attacks. In fact, the flaw is already in wide use as a tool to steal online game passwords, with some 10,000 websites infected with the code needed to take advantage of the hole in IE.

More in the link.

Personally, glad I refused to use IE in the first place.

Same here. I have never used IE on my own PC. Before I used Firefox I just used my dial up services browser. IE has always been too slow and bloated, not to mention the security problems.

Yeah, Firefox really is the best way to go on PC, and if not that then any other internet browser would still be a better option then IE.

Go Microsoft. :lol

I have used Firefox or Opera for the last 10 years because that is how long I have been using Linux as my operating system on my home computers. Back when I did use Windows I always used Navigator instead of IE. Right now I only have to use IE at my workplace.

They released an update to fix the problem today:

(yes, i am still an IE junkie)

Unfortunately school requires IE for Course Compass and other online homework assignments :( So I cant really do that.

I used FireFox until recently when it started to be outpaced by Chrome, which is my default browsers. I used FireFox for feeds and for a few other things here and there but Chrome for now and Opera is fun too.

I love IE though, which is why I have a FireFox theme in the IE style

My IE no longer works even though Microsoft supposedly fixed it. Well, it kind of works, but takes about two minutes for the home page to even start loading up. Firefox works like a charm though.

Dart, I used to have that problem as well, or rather once it just never loaded. To fix it, I had to download the latest Beta version of IE and that worked amazingly, though it was a beta, but it was adequete.

I guess it is resolved.

My dad works for the government and apparently they forceed every computer to immediately update then he forced me to update all of ours here, it was so awestrickingly cool

Hey, Experts urge to switch from Pepsi, but we all know Soda is bad for you. Yet Firefox doesn't call you in the middle of the night and ask where you been, yells at you, or even wonders what the lipstick on your collar came from. :'(
