I've just started playing Farmville and wondered if anyone else on here does too? I know this website is more targetted towards "proper" gaming, but I'm really into these online social games. They're a huge time-waster, but so much fun. I can't quite identify what is so fun about them though. Any suggestions?
 
I used to play Farmville but at the time I was playing it, I had so much money I could buy anything, and that made it boring. So I stopped and haven't gone back to it since.

I've not come across Fishville, I only play Farmville. Looks like another game I could get into.....

Interesting point you make MaiValentine. I am at the stage now, where I have a lot of money and it's starting to get a bit dull, not having to think about the expense of what I'm buying.
 
I think I tried Fishville, but I liked Happy Aquarium better. I eventually stopped playing that as well, though, because it was too much maintenance.

I guess really, I'm not down with games that you have to check on every day.

I still play Castle Age but it's cool because if I don't play it for stretches at a time, nothing happens.
 
I'm really getting annoyed with Farmville now. It irritates me when dialogue boxes pop up ever other minute, and when server has to re-syncronise and you end up losing some progress, and then have to repeat tasks again. Grrrrr. This could be the end of the road of Farmville for me.....
 
Fishville has had similar issues. I have found that Zynga often updates games without thoroughly testing beforehand.
 
I find the zynga games a little to formulaic. I played 'King of the World ' on facebook for almost three years though.
 
As much as I have liked Fishville, I am a little burned out with the slow response time in-game. The daily maintenance plus the frequent pop-up dialogs really do kill the enjoyment.
