Whoa! That's basically what I was going to type! But I have Capcom vs SNK 2 on PS2 though, so I'd have to replace that with Marvel vs Capcom 2, even though I have that on PS2 as well. ;)

You are a man of good taste sir.

I heard the Saturn version was better then the DC, due to the 4MB RAM cart that is provided

I can vouch for that as being true. Seems that the animations are smoother and more complete. The pixels seem a hair larger as well. Loading times are excellent. I usually play it on my Saturn if I'm going to play it..one reason being that I have the Japanese version on Saturn of course..SF03...and I'm weirdly attracted to all things Japanese :lol

Yeah, I even heard Cody has different winning poses and such...all the animation missing from the DC and PS1 version is found here on the Saturn

So you guys are saying that its better on Sega Saturn? I didn't even know that this was on Saturn. :-\

That's kinda of odd to me though, I mean its an old console and I cant possibly think why its better on that. :-\

Saturn has always been better on 2D for one reason...the 4MB RAM cart makes all the difference...you get no loading time what so ever....Dreamcast relies on the motherboard itself

The only time Saturn looks out of date, is because of it's 3D processor is outdated....

That's when Dreamcast picks up the slack...but still gives off the great 2D gameplay

Dreamcast port of SF Alpha 3 was rushed, that's why it seems half-arsed...plus you have to remember how long SF Alpha 3 was delayed on Dreamcast...because Alpha 3 used an entirely different arcade engine....CPS-2..the Saturn port was seriously worked on with care...especially when it comes in it's own unique little casing that includes the 4MB RAM Cart..and since it's just a build up of SF Alpha 2...it's super easy for the Saturn to handle...and Capcom is so used to using Saturn's hardware for many titles (MSH Vs. SF....X-men Vs. SF....Vampire Savior)

See Dreamcast uses "NAOMI" a spin off the Arcade board of the same name...which is a variant of the CPS-3 (Street Fighter 3) and Naomi and the main brains behind Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and 2...alot more advanced....

So Alpha 3 on Dreamcast had to be downgraded in animation, because trying to make the Naomi read this program was a pain to translate and so you had to loose some of the factors of animation

I couldn't have said it better myself. He hit the nail on the head with that post. Dreamcast was not used to CPS-2..designed with Naomi and CPS-3 in mind. I also have to agree on the rush job theory because the other CPS-2 games ported on DC looked much better than SFA3.

SFA3 on Saturn>Dreamcast>PS1 :lol

But yeah..its still a great game no matter what system you play it on..its always better than SFA2 on SNES :D
