Final Fantasy 7 for ps3?

is final fantasy 7 ever going to come out for ps3 as either an updated version with improved graphics and/or story line or even the original version?

me and my friend where debating over it, and also is it true that FF7 was actually banned from being sold in stores in the USA? ... seems strange if it is (:OP
 
If you've seen FF Advent Children and watched the bonus disc, they clearly state they're not going to make Final Fantasy 7 for the PS3 because they'd have to live up to too much hype and they didn't want to even try.

About banning FF 7 in the U.S. That sounds kinda strange. I don't know why they'd do that. I remember I bought it for like $20 at a blockbuster a couple years back.
 
Well, is not living to too much hype worse than not releasing it at all? This reminds me of Frame City Killer

Yes because if it doesn't then not only do you waste money but the developers lose time on original projects that could potentially be just as good or even better than FFVII.

I for one hope that it doesn't. Just let it go down as one of the all time greats.
 
oic... I dont want a remake iwant updated graphics and thats pretty much it... maybe a few new weapons or sidequests or something but dont mess with the core formula
