Just thought I'd post this up since it pretty much sums up how I feel about these consoles. Discuss if you like. :)

Meh.
I think every complaint on there can be traced back to the developer wanting to make more money. Buy the wireless card, buy the rechargeable bats... buy a new, working xbox 360. They aren't making the stuff for you, they don't make xbox's and ps3's to make YOU happy, they make them to make MONEY! No rumble? Why have it, you still bought the system without it and they saved 5 bucks on parts, win win for them.
 
They have to make more money, only Nintendo's making profit off the console.

xbox 360 has rechargable batteries, and they are cheap, come with recharging cables, and last very long

the power brick is just fine, just hide it behind your tv stand woohoo

wii is underpowered, but thats why you have a 360 now, isnt it

expensive controllers? only $5 more than the sixaxis, which is fine.

cant complain about crappy ports, either play them or dont, you dont have to

rechargable batteries can be found at any store you want, and are cheap, and come with chargers

good point about the ps3 usb ports, i was wondering about that myself

You see, my answer to this problem is, not wasting money on a ps3 in the first place.

...and everyone wants MGS 4 or FF 13 as much as Smash Bros.

That article brings up some interesting poinst though. All console's have major weaknesses, many of which can be traced back to greed on the part of the console developers.

I think it has something to do with cheap labor and china/mexico.

I wouldn't use the word great, as much as I would... worthless, in that sentence.

Now for the article, these are just complaints. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't purchase any of these because of them. Just stuff that they can improve upon.

Uh yes they do make xbox's and PS3's to make us happy, not because they want to but because they must, otherwise nobody would buy them. Not saying that these systems will always provide happiness 100% of the time but they do try to make them fun in the first place in order to make their money.
 
I think the fun of those two should be more focused on the actual games, not everything they tacked on.

My thoughts exactly.

But I do agree with the suckage of Wii Points and Microsoft Points.
 
Well, with all this "360/PS3/Wii sucks" banter, I have decided not to listen to it. It's like every time a new generation comes out, someone comes in and compiles a list of why this or that sucks. And like the last few generations, I intend on buying all three. I am a gamer. I play games. That's all I care about.
