for you which developer = automatic purchase?

Which developer (if any) for you guarantees an automatic purchase?

Honestly, I can't think of any developers for myself, since most of my favorite developers do so many genres that they all make a few games I won't buy no matter what.
 
None. I harbor absolutely zero allegiance to any developer. I may favor a console a bit, but that's as far as I go.
 
I'm always interested in Rockstar's projects. With the exception of Bully, Manhunt 2, and possibly one or two newer Rockstar titles, I have either bought, rented, or borrowed the majority of their titles. Especially if their games involve vehicles. Evil Knevil for the Game Boy Color is one such game I might have missed out on had it not been made by Rockstar.

But I still don't automatically buy everything they put out. I think the only Rockstar games I've purchased have been GTA III and Vice City, the rest have all been rented or borrowed...

Yes, my ever waining faith in BioWare still stands, unless they screw Dragon Age up. Then they're basically headed into a downward spiral, as far as I'm concerned. (I will still have to buy Kotor 3, though, just to get closure to the series)

Notice I said "a lot of Ubisoft stuff."

They make quality games in my eyes, like Assassin's Creed, the Splinter Cell series, Rainbow Six: Vegas, the Prince of Persia series and a ton of other great ones.

I agree, Shanghai made my least favorite two Splinter Cell games: Pandora Tomorrow and Double Agent (next gen version)

Yeah, Ubisoft Montreal seems to have the Midas Touch.

Some other studios I tend to favor: Westwoo...dam....Maxi...oh yeah...Bullfro...okay, is there any studio EA hasn't ruined? >:(
