ARGH!! I cannot get this snail. Who has got this before?
what did it look like. What time did you get it?

I swear the snail is not in the game.

The snail is supposed to be out all day like the cockroach. :-\

I do enjoy the hunt... its crazy..

Its like being addicted to the game :lol

I only have till September to find this punk Snail..... and well... I cannot find it.

I swear the game is hiding it from me.

I just wish someone who has caught one can tell me when/where/how they found it/caught it... and what did it look like... IE small or large... or under what circumstances they caught it... IE rain, sun...etc.

Teehee... I would give it to you if you could send living things. :(

I got mine at about 4:00 PM a few months back... it was on a Wednesday. Maybe that will help. It was near the Train Station.

Maybe I'll just plant a crapload by the train station.  I have a crap load of flowers by  the "cliff" of my town.... near the right edge of town.

Anyway.... do you still see them often?  Honestly, I have not seen 1 snail in the 2 years I have been playing the game.
I have caught 15-20 banded (spelling?) dragonflies......  and I cannot catch a snail.

I have caught all the fish.... but I still cannot catch a snail. 

Oh yeah.... how large was the snail on the flower? about the size of a roach?  OR was it more of a pill bug (the ones you knock off the rock) size?

I don't know why this is bothering me so much.... I just want to catch the blasted thing!

ok... Its not in the game.

I have come to the conclusion.... its just not in the game!!!

I searched for the last 5 weeks... and nothing.

lol 5 weeks of looking for a snail

I had a look around and ppl say the snail appears on/around a flower on a day it rains

Ok don't take my word for it as ive never played it, i will when they release it tho lol.
 
is it important? well.. no.

To me ... it is because I have been playing this forever to actually get all the insects and fish. Why?
Its stupid addictive :lol

I've played it this long, I want to finish!

So allow me to get this straight...you've been spending goodness knows how many hours, maybe even days of playing time, trying to catch a polygonic snail in which there's no reward for it afterwards? Dude, you're worse then me with the Pokemon games! :p

yeah.... but we do that in every video game... there are "non- real quests" to be done.

I mean... you probably went searching for the 4th bottle in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, right?

well.... I want this friggin snail :lol  and I say its not in the cursed game!
I am serious.... I cannot find the friggin thing.  I have caught (easily caught) some of the hardest insects.... and I have caught every friggin fish there could be.....  and the hardest one to catch, I have caught 15 times at least.

Now tell me, why is a snail THIS HARD TO CATCH!!... let alone even find. ::D ::D ::D

Well according to the Prima strategy guide, snails are:

In Jan, Feb, March, October, November, and December, not available at all.

In April, May, June, July, August, and September, they are available through out the entire day but are seen infrequently.

In the official Nintendo Power strategy guide, it says that they are available April-Sept, all day, and are found only on flowers.

Not very helpful now that I look at it. But Aya's suggestion was good. I think I caught my snail when it was raining.
 
yeah... every guide I have seen says "all day" "apr - sept"

if something can be found while raining.... it normally states that... and it doesn't for the snail... but I am still going to be looking for it while it is raining.

I mean.... I have played this cursed game for 2 years... and I have been looking HARD for the last 5 weeks. :lol
If I don't find this, my wavebird is going to be finding a home on the Moon somewhere.

I finally calmed down :lol

ok.. on a serious note... no.

I SWEAR this is a glitch or something.

No where to be found.. and I only have 22 more days to find it... or I have to wait till next April.

No Kidding... .I have been looking hard since April 2004.
