I thought about writing a review for this, but came to the conclusion words can't describe how great this is. The looks alone are just... wow. The PS3 isn't out yet, but with a game like this, that little fact is easy to forget. The sound is exceptionally good, especially if you have a surround system. The controls are quick, easy to learn and yet hard to master. The enemies actually tried to surround me, which is a first for any game I've ever played. And the boss battles? Well, take the Hydra as a great example. (it's the first real boss battle). First we have two rather large snake-things bursting out of the deck of a ship. They are a bit hard to kill, but when you damage them enough they fall unconcious for little while. (the other one is still active.) This done, you need to climb up some boxes and attack the thing from above iin a rather messy way. When both are gone, it's time for the real battle against the Hydra. Climb up on top of a mast, wack it long enough (and be careful so it don't blow you off or attack you - this guy can sure pack a punch!) Finally when it's wounded enough, you start a mini-game where you click the correct buttons in the correct order. But oh no, it's not that easy. You need to do that three times, and then start a fourth mini-game after a while. This results in a very messy finish well worth the money alone. And just so you know how big that boss is, after the battle you walk into it's mouth, proceed further down a normal "corridor" (actually the inside of the snake) and such. And that's the first thirty minutes. You think it can't get any better, but it does. Believe me. When you are finally done, you'll be sitting there with tears in your eyes since it's so damn beautiful and just brilliant. It's the best game I've ever played, and I've played Mercenaries.

Still not convinced? Well, how about you are on a ship. With two women, both top-less of course. If you go closer to them and click the circle button, you'll start a mini-game involving various... sounds. (to bad the camera focus on a vase, but still.)

Get this game. That's all there is too it. Trust me. ;)

Amen, sister! :D It's just so damn good. Words can't describe it. (The Medusa boss battle was far too easy, but other than that it's perfection.) Take magic, for instance. Right now I've got two completely different spells, and they are both great. Problem is should I upgrade one, or upgrade my blades instead? I use the blades 90% of the time, but they are Level 3 right now. The spells are level 1. Ah, the agony! The misery! :lol

i want this game so bad!!! this is my fave kind of game like rygar, devil may cry etc... but itll be a greatest hit sometime and i can wait :D

i find this game is too easy compared to devil may cry 3. unless you are playing god of war on god mode, if not its just a walkover.

I agree god of war was fairly fun...although quiet easy fun in the least. Devil may cry 3 has got to be one of my favorite games ...yet still not very hard but just enough to still have fun and play around on.

I've only got the Demo and seen it on TV, but this game is so crazy! :o Its one of THE best games out on the PS2 ever!

Most likely in the top 3 best PS2 games. It just has that fun feel that you cant describe to it, and you cant put it down :o

My sister told me that she has God of War. I shall borrow it from her and see for myself whether of not this game is worth it. :lol

hey nightwolf... if you want to write a review for this, go ahead.. I'll put it up at the Game addicts section :) We could use more Ps2 information.
