I think I'd like to play them first before making such a claim about either one. :lol

I think Gears of War is more likely to get GOTY for 360, though. But it does have tough competition with CoD3 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (that came out this year as well).
 
I got 2 weeks off when these two come out nxt month. Not sure if im going to get both or just one. Why do they do this to us!! Damit, Need For Speed Carbon and WWE aswell around the same time. :? ::)
 
Is this just for 360 or what?

Cuz what I've heard/read about Final Fantasy XII... Its gonna be rockin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gears of War is good, but different. It's a lot more like Counterstrike, which is why I think people like it. I think the gameplay's still weird, though I'm 2 acts into it. Just something a little off about the A button and the cover system. I hated the cover system in Perfect Dark Zero also.
 
I'm stickin with my Final Fantasy XII, even though I'm 99.9% sure that Gears of War will win it easily for every show, site, magazine, etc
