Guitar Hero 3

Hey Griff, i got the Wii version tonight, hit me up with a PM lol

Yes I have the 360 and Wii edition, yes I am crazy :)

Graphically, the Wii version is watered down. Pretty much identical to the PS2 edition. The character sprites look like early PS2 sprites, not as detailed as the 360 edition, and you can see that they look like block figures on the elbows and finger tips. Colors and such, seem blurry. As if I'm playing Guitar Hero on N64. Video quality is weakened, because the animated intros and such are "letter box" for reasons unknown.

The sound effects from when you make a mistake and such, are actually taken from GH1 and 2.

Upside to the Wii version, is online gameplay between friends only, rumble from the Wii remote for a cool effect. Sadly no DLC.

I hate that the 360 edition cannot "invite friends" to battle. Just random people.

The guitar handles quite lovely, just like the 360 edition.

Audio wise, it's equal to the 360 edition.

It boggles my mind, as much horsepower as the Wii can do on games like Prime 3, Smash Bros Brawl. Why did it take a nose dive on the graphics?

Yeah, I think I'll definitely stick with the 360 version. :lol

i respect that you want the 360 version, but why, really? i mean, why pay $10 extra for better graphics in a music rhythm game?

Initial DLC
Better sound (Wii version has problems with surround sound)
Better graphics
Colors aren't blurry
Off-line coop

wii has offline coop, i thought it was the 360 version that had problems with that??

and the sound is exactly the same, as confirmed by IGN :)

The Wii doesn't have offline coop quickplay.

Also, you're listening to IGNorant. Honestly now. The Wii-mote's sound quality is terrible. The overall sound is alright. It also doesn't like Surround Sound. Enough for an extra $10 purchase for me.

I think I'll stick to the 360 version considering achievements and I don't have any friends on my Wii. (which sounds pretty wrong.)

I would add you aleeock but my Wii is still hooked up to the broken tv. :'(

But anyway, I'm getting the 360 version because of achievements and downloadable content.

Honestly guys, yeah the 360 ftw...this Wii edition is horrid..

Unfortunately for the Wii, it looks like it's going to be GC all over again, where the best games for it are Nintendo games and multiplatform games are better on the other systems. :-\

That's very true Mai, but the Nintendo games will help warrant a purchase later on. I purchased a Gamecube ONLY for Animal Crossing.

Oh, it's not a bad thing. :) Nintendo games rock! I can't wait for the eventual Animal Crossing Wii.

But to get back on topic, I wonder if they will make any fixes to the Wii edition through something like WiiWare. It's technically possible isn't it? I mean I doubt they could do anything drastic, but they should at least be able to have some downloadable content at some point.
