Which "Final Fantasy" does Bahamut make his 1st appearance?

In the U.S. it was Final Fantasy II for the SNES.

In Japan, I would assume it was the same game, though called Final Fantasy IV for the Famicon. Did he ever show up in Final Fantasy III DS? I know he wasn't in Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls.

In North America,Bahamut first appeared in "Final Fantasy 1" for the NES.If you bring him the "Rat Tail" he turns your child characters into adults."Thief" into "Ninja","Black Mage" into "Sorcerer",etc. :D
