Im thinking about getting one...

Ok Im thinking about getting a 360.

I have some questions though.

Im looking at the differences in price. Do I really need the 20gb Hard Drive? or can I just get the core package?
I dont need the wireless controller and I dont care about the XBL thing that much.

Also I dont have an HDTV yet. Should I not even bother getting the 360 if I dont have one?

Also, do I need a memory card if I get the Core package? Just wondering.

The games Im looking at right now include Project Gotham 3, Prey, Oblivion.

You need the HD for downloads and saves and to play Original Xbox Games.  I do not play online, but it is nice to download demos before buying a game.

The 360 still will look good and better than the Original Xbox on any TV.  The system has a better graphic card and more Memory.

You will need a Memory Card to save games with the Core System.

Prey is the best of the bunch you listed.  I loved COD2 and Ghost Recon (and I did not like army games before them)

Answers in Red and Bold!  Get a Premium 360!  Good Luck!

Ok then.
So would it be better for me to get the Core package and a memory card for 30? or the more expensive pakage with the 20gb hd for 100 more?

Get the Premium.  Wireless Controller, 20GB HD, Headset, and (even though you do not need them yet) HDTV Cables.  Worth the $100.00 more, trust me!

Plus, with the Silver XBL Membership that is Free and included it makes it so you can download things, get to the Marketplace, etc. Just do not pay for a Gold Membership then.

I saw a whole bunch online.

I need to find a cool HDTV to play it on that isnt too expensive. Any ideas?

In all honesty, buying the VGA Adaptor and plugging it into your PC monitor is almost certainly the cheapest solution. I get a resolution of 1280*1024, which looks amazing compared to a standard TV.
