Is It True That People with Epilepsy Can Almost Never Play Video Games?

Hi Addicts.

I was reading over the warning with respect to epileptic seizures and such in one of my game manuals.I truly feel bad for those poor souls who by playing video games could have an episode.Does this mean that people with epilepsy can never play,or can your doctor prescribe meds to help?

I couldn't imagine not being able to play video games due to such a horrible affliction.

Godspeed,
Kaz

The odd thing is that video games required that warning but television shows and movies were not. An epileptic seizure is usually brought on by bright flashes of light. So, there are a ton of things that can cause one. People with such a condition often can grow out of it. However, if they have that condition they are on meds. So they can play video games.

I am sure the warning is there because someone had an episode while playing and the retard parents sued.

my cousin has epilepsy (2 grand mal seizures within a year or so) and even flourescent lights hurt her eyes, especially when they flicker really bad. however, TV does not..
