Anyone else looking forward to this game?

It's a strategy rpg developed by Level 5 (makers of Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy, and Dragon Quest VIII). It's based on Joan of Arc.

Play magazine gave it a 9 out of 10. According to their review, the game runs about 40 hours. They also loved the anime in the game (done by Production IG) that tells the story.

I'm thinking of getting it.

Does the game end with Joan getting betrayed by a few Frenchmen, going through a mock trial and getting burned at the stake, only to get exhonorated a few years later?? :lol

"If I am not in God's grace, then let him put me there. If I am in God's grace, let him keep me there."

thats excatly like getting that Kirsten Dunst movie that came out (not spiderman3)
if you know what happens to that person(fatally)then thats not worth paying to seeing.

But Jeanne d'Arc does sound cool. Possibly a change in plot in the end?

It's "Level 5" nuff said, if it's as solid as Rouge Galaxy. Then this is a sure-fire winner on the PSP by far.

This is a game I can't wait to get and look forward to very much. Playing RPGs on the psp seems a lot more fun for some reason.

The battery life on the PSP kind of sucks for rpgs, though. I can play about four hours before I have to charge again.

But having it on the PSP's big screen is pretty cool. :) And for Jeanne d'Arc with its anime stylings, that's going to be important.

The cool thing if I get a PSP is I'll mainly play it at home...in which I can put it through my PS3, and on to my tv screen. :)

I think it works through the PS3, too. I dunno, I wasn't paying attention at that point. Horribly monotonous voices put me to sleep.

yeah....i think they said something about a killzone sequel....but i'm not sure :lol

So I picked up this game and I am loving it. The anime scenes are great, and I love the battles. I'm not very far yet, but I can see how it's going to get better as it goes on.

My roommate has a PSP so I played some of this. And wow. Perfect Strategy/RPG title? It's so unique for RPGs to have a setting such as this.

(Looking back on that post I made made my eyes hurt. >_<)

I don't know, actually. I'm guessing they had to take a few liberties to make a game out of it, though. :)

As it turns out, Level 5 handled this problem in quite an intelligent way.

Jeanne doesn't get killed at all; someone who is impersonating her dies at the stake, and Jeanne lives past the end of the game.

NOO!!! LIANE!!! >_< Yeah, I reached this part. XD

Excellent game. I also wondered how they would get past the realities of history. They did a good job.

Although it really stunk loosing Leanne, she was my powerhouse!!
