Looking for a baseball RPG game...

Are there any baseball game simulators out there that allow you to create a single player, and then focus solely on developing that one player from the minors up to the bigs? I guess almost more like a RPG Baseball game rather than the normal baseball games out there. I wouldn't even know how the game play would work. For example, if you were a shortstop, would your view just be from the shortstop view all game? Or if you were a shortstop and the ball was hit to right field, you would continue to play the shortstop position (instead of automatically becoming the right fielder as is the case with most baseball games). Is there anything out there like this?

I'm not sure about an RPG Baseball game, but most of them contain heavy RPG elements, like all sports games.

Thanks. I might have used the wrong term. Basically, I am looking for a baseball game where I can focus on playing as one player - instead of automatically taking control of the fielder the ball is hit to. Also, instead of batting for each player, only bat for the player I created. I am not sure if a game exists like this.

I think NBA 2Kwhatever had a 24/7 mode where you had to "train" your virtual player every day and things like that. I don't think there are any position-specific baseball games though. I may be wrong, it's been awhile since I picked up a baseball game, but I haven't heard of anything like that before.

I'm sure if they don't already have one then they will soon. Madden and NCAA Football both have had that kind of gameplay b4 where you pick a position and create your player and it's like a first person view when you are playing and you just control him.
