Merry Christmas!!!

retro junkie

All You bases are belong to us.
It has been a good retro Christmas. I received a Supaboy by Hyperkin, which is great. I am very satisfied with its performance. The real icing on the cake was the Wonder Swan color "Final Fantasy" Edition. :D Some Vita and 3DS game along with some clothes rounded it out to a good 2014 haul.
It was great spending time with Family too.

Hope everyone had a good time with Family and a wonderful Christmas.

Who's cool enough to buy a grown man video games for Christmas?! After my early 20's my family has refused to support my addiction. This year I got gloves. Once my kids get a little older maybe they'll start returning the favor!

As it is now a lot of the stuff I buy them game wise is something that I'd also enjoy I just have to make sure it's age appropriate. I'm sure if I bought my 7 year old Grand Theft Auto a grand parent would have DSS scheduling a chat with me!

Christmas 2014 was awesome at my home, I hope it was at everyone else's as well

My cool loving wife knows what I like and feeds my addiction. ;)

My daughter understands, so she provides me some goodies this time of year.

I have an awesome unusual family I guess. :lol I feel spoiled.

edit: My wife also gave me "Cosmo Gang the video" which is a Super Famicom game. Plays great on the Supaboy.

The Supa Boy looks awesome. I still have my (actually, it's my dad's) SNES hooked up to my main TV. I really need to get my life in order so that I have some time to actually play some Yoshi's Island again!

will the supaboy play pal games? I want to play terranigma and the famicon version is in japaneese but it was released in Europe and in English........ I would pay the 50-100 for the game and the 80 for the supaboy if I could play the pal version, its an rpg so I'd never be able to deal with the ntsc version

Sorry for the delay. I have been investigating your question. Below is the info on the box, which is also in the included leaflet.

But I did find this on Youtube, A second Supaboy has come out since this vid, my model.

Here is a size comparison, I laughed when I read on the system that it was a pocket sized SNES portable. Someone has some deep pockets in those trousers. :lol This thing is thick too, inch and a half.

My only concern would be that the Supaboy is a clone system, which means that there could be some games that will not play or will not play perfectly. It being a clone system means that the original hardware may not be completely duplicated. You need to know that "terranigma" can be played on a clone system especially a Hyperkin clone system. I will continue to look for some answers.

edit: We have gotten way off subject of the original posting. I hope a monitor doesn't ban us..... ;D :lol

(veers back on topic) bump............ MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

ha, I think even the mods have all but stopped visiting. I honestly wonder what the guy dave sold the site to is really doing with the place

I still visit here and there when I can... I am working full-time night shift out of town though, so weekends are the only time that I can really check.

Retro, when did you get that GBA/SP? It looks like the one that I sold this past summer!

That GBA/SP was purchased when the brights first hit the shelves at the local Wal-Mart. Their life on the shelf was short lived due to the DS. No, it is not yours! ;D

I really think whoever it was had no vision to spearhead something like this. Not sure they ever joined and visited the site. They are doing nothing with the place. :-[

It is good that it wasn't mine. I have a reminder of that GBA by the little dent in the wall after an occasion of rage playing Metroid: Fusion.. :D
