A consumer finally stepped forward with his reports that his 360 deliberately damages his game's disc.

A new document reveals that Microsoft was already aware of the situation, but wanted to keep silent.

Besides games, Microsoft is ridiculous.

That's pretty sad, but from what I gather, they didn't really have any other options to fix it other than spending tons of money or hindering the gamers play, which would ultimately have led to the loss of the 360 against the competition. Not a big deal for me personally, but it has affected me and some friends in the past. Definitely isn't something that should be happeneing, especially if you knew about it.
Another way they probably could have fixed this problem would be to redesign the 360. I'm sure that would have caused major delays and more money, but it's something they very well could have considered.

I wish the article would explain the cause. Then I would just crack it open and fix it myself.
