Changed the speaks.

I'd change 2 things. First would be the video card. I'd personally get one of the new ATI 4870 cards such as this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103061 And for the hard drive I would opt for one of these seagates with the 32mb cache http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148294 You will also probably need some case fans, and an aftermarket CPU cooler {I like the Arctic Cooling brand}. You didn't list a power supply, but you'll need a beefy one such as this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005 or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 Corsair makes awesome power supplies so I'd stick with them. Lastly, I would choose another brand over OCZ for RAM {like MUSHKIN}, but that is solely personal preference. Good luck and have fun building that beast!

You also might want to watch with the 700 series nVidia chips. A lot of people are having problems with them. The one I recently got has a problem with the memory controller issue which had me swapping my ram all over the place to find a combination that worked. I don't know if the 790i has the video artifacting issue like the 780i does, but that is something else to watch for since it can lock up your system. It would be best to update your BIOS as soon as you get your system up and running. If you try to overclock your video card, you probably should invest in some extra cooling fans since the central fan will blow right onto the top card. If you can get the thing running, the board will work out great.

Thanks guys. I can't believe I forgot about power supply... >.<. I think I'll go with the first suggestion from X2 with this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006

I think I will also go with that Seagate that X2 suggested. I need to look into some more fans though... I may change the tower as well.

Thanks for the input.

Why are you spending 2-2.5x more on RAM than you actually have to? Unless you're using liquid nitrogen to overclock your processor to at least two times its current speed and keep the RAM:FSB to a 1:1 ratio, there's no need for such overpriced RAM. Unless you're Pixar (and even then, iffy at best), you won't notice any difference between $80-100 worth of DDR2 vs the $250 you have now of DDR3.

You're spending an ungodly amount on parts without, it seems, attempting to look for something less expensive. It'd you'd cut back on some of your more frivolous spending you could sink money into parts that matter. $250 RAM? Come on man.

Well, it IS 4GB of DDR3 RAM...

IMO, that's a little ahead of it's time though. You don't really need RAM that ridculously fast yet. You probably won't even notice the difference between that and some standard DDR2 RAM.

Rule of thumb: When building a computer in <insert random length of time here>, begin research now, then actually assemble a list of parts in <insert same length of time minus a small amount here> so it's not a futile waste of time. None of those prices will be the same, and most of that hardware will probably be near-useless by that time.

Exactly. Don't try and price out the system yet since it won't be even close to the same in year. Research it out until you can afford the computer and then start working on pricing out parts within your budget. You can build a great machine for a lot less than you're talking about. You're buying into a lot of hype here.
