N64 Goldeneye on the VC

I'd pay 100 dollars for Golden Eye on the VC with online support. I don't even give a shit if the graphcis or controls are even modified.

Just give me online Golden Eye. Please.

you're crazy.  I know it would be awesome... but I wouldn't pay $100.  I would pay $20 tops. :lol

BUT THEY SHOULD DO ONLINE SUPPORT WITH IT!

Golden Eye is one of my favorite games ever - particularly multiplayer aspect portion (not even considering single player!!!!!!!! (I could go on with these!!)!!!!).

With that in mind, I'd gladly pay 100 USD for an online-enabled Golden Eye, whether it controlled teh same or not. Preferably if it controlled the same (as modifications to the controls would be a modification to the core game. .).

That's like someone saying they'd pay $600 for a PS2 cause it was their favorite system. Well, you can...cept with a different name and updated graphics.... :lol

Online communication would be an edit to the core as well...  So-to-speak.  They can't just tack on online playability.  Granted it is not as core as controls... but it affects everyone multiplayer wise.  So I'd say it is like one level up from controls in editing the game.  Regardless... I'd easily dish $20 for this... and I Am not a person that wants to spend a lot of money on ANYTHING virtual...   If that makes sense.

Goldeneye was the first shooter to have a really awesome multiplayer. If they added that and original super smash bros, the Wii would be worth getting just for those!

Maybe first console shooter, but Doom beats it out by quite a few years. But I don't know if GE will make the cut for the VC. Nintendo loves its fans, but I don't see how they could work it out with Activison and Microsoft without spending more money than they would stand to make.

i heard about the copyright problems and stuff with Rare. If it did come to the VC though, that would be the best thing ever!

Egads!! Isn't Rare a Microsoft company now?? Man it will take a friggin' miracle to get that license to go through. It would be awesome though.

yea, those are the problems they're having. Plus, everyone is thinking goldeneye will be coming to XBLA before the VC. Plus, you would need to have a classic controller to play goldeneye, so anyone that doesn't have one would have to drop $20 if they got the game on the Wii

If they were smart they would just remake the original for the 360 and Xbox Live. Not a sequel, like Rogue Agent, but a complete technical and graphical overhaul of the original down to the last detail. I think a lot of folks would be willing to pay $50-60 for that, if it were done with proper respect to the original game.

I think that Goldeneye is better suited for the 360.  Live just seems like a better fit.

Sacrelige!!! Goldeneye was on the N64, and with the Big N Goldeneye should be. If Bill Gates doesn't see this truth, then he is indeed the antichrist. :lol

Well think all you want, it was for N64, so it will most likely end up on the Wii's VC.

Yeah, right about when Super Mario Galaxy comes to the 360. I just don't think it will happen for the following reasons

Activision currently holds the rights to the James Bond license and Microsoft currently own Rare.

Which means to get it on the VC, they would have to pay off Activision and Microsoft. Just doesn't seem likely to happen, and if it did, the price tag on it would be rather large.

Not too much of one... but it would be hard. Diddy Kong Racing DS exists, and that's hope. The main problem is, after getting the game itself okay, the rights to the Bond Franchise would have to be worked out with the Activision.

Spartan, I don't think the price tag would differ at all... it's not like it costs a ton to put N64 games on the VC right now (Super Mario 64 costs $10 and the cost to putting it on the VC is almost nonexistant)... so they've got nearly full profit on them. They wouldn't get as much profit on Bond but I think they'd be okay with $10.

Yeah, the licensing issue is a big obstacle. It would be cool to see the original team who made Goldeneye just come back and do it for Nintendo, but fat chance of either scenario playing out well.
