No joder con migo !!
ppl who you guys think will win this battle of the Nintendo DS or the PSP. I don't got a psp but a ds yes. i play with the ds ready day. and online

At the risk of being called a fanboy, I think Nintendo has this wrapped up. That is unless Sony pulls something major, I don't see them giving the DS any real competition.

Im definitely not a fanboy for any company. Just as an casual gamer I think its pretty obvious the DS is winning as of now. Just take a lookg around. I havent seen a kid with a psp in my area in a long time...

I know very few people who own a PSP and even less who actually use it. The PSP doesn't have anything big going for it.

I haven't played the PSP so I guess my opinion is a bit biased

personally DS has alot more going for it, it's three main innovations; the stylus, mic, and wifi support give it the leading edge over the competition
come to think of it, the PSP is nothing more than a supped up GBA with Sony franchises

I think the PSP may be able to turn around if starts churning out some really (really) great games

PSP and DS were in competition for a few months.

Then it was just over.

There is no longer a competition. There is the handheld market, which is still absolutely dominated by Nintendo (take a look at my post in general just now)..

And then there's some overly priced media device that plays expensive movies and PSX/Ps2 ports that are overpriced.

Competition? No. They lost that a long time ago.

I have not seen any games I care to play on the PSP. I don't have either system, but if it were me I would say the DS wins.

Heh. I was hanging out after ork a few days ago and had my DS out. I was showing a coworker the New Super Mario Bros game. One of my techs came up and said, "Nobody plays the DS. The PSP is where it's at." I looked at him and told him that he was an idiot. I also told him to look at the game selection of each. He got quiet.

So yeah. DS wins. :D

Lol that's priceless! DS wins hands down. :D

the only thing the PSP seems to have going for it is the real sport games fanatics

I too have a PSP. I can assure you it was a worse purchase decision than X Box for me.

I own a PSP as well... and I finally found some enjoyment on that... Socom: Fireteam Bravo.... but yea.. the DS kicks the PSP handsdown!

Better game selection... better prices... and a whole lot more. I just wish there were more WIFI games.

BV :hat

And the DS has NO ports at all... ::)

Hypocrite.

Based on what I read Sartori didn't mention ANYTHING about the DS NOT having ports. Sure, it has ports...but they certainly don't cost as much as they did when they were originally released on their original system.

Make sure you read and fully understand everything before you start flinging names around ;)

I have to say that the DS and the PSP are evenly matched as far as ports are concerned. Sure the PSP has their big franchises on it but they are usually sequels (ie. GTA Liberty/Vice City Stories, Metal Gear Portable OPs.) Which means that they are brand new adventures to play and not the same from the PS2.

The only thing that has held the PSP back in my opinion is the lack of a second analog stick.

Mario 64 was around 45000/5000 yen when it came out. As was New SMB. Close to - if not the same - as a regular game. You're splitting hairs.

And he certainly made it sound like the DS was all original content and that the PSP had *only* ports.

And don't tell me what to write.

K negative Nancy. Did someone let you out of your cage? You appear to be roaming around freely, so I would assume so.

In response to this, you clearly attempted to place words in my mouth with this one. Certainly, the DS has ports. This is very clear and evident by your example. However, whenever I glance at the PSP section in Games 4 Less, a local mom and pop shop, I notice.. sigh. Breath of Fire III. Price? 50. Valkyrie Profile. 50 Dollars. etc, etc.

What's remarkable about this is the price. Super Mario 64 DS? Sure. 30 dollars.

Whine. Go suck an analog nub.
