Early this week, a bunch of stores pulled the 20GB PS3 from their stores. Now, we find out why. The 20GB PS3 is being discontinued in North America. Great. Now, we get to pay an EXTRA hundred dollars for the PS3. I'm definately gonna get it now. ::)

Heh. With the PS2 outselling the PS3, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. But of course that's one way to completely piss off every developer on the planet.
 
This is upsetting to me. The PS3 is floundering, and nobody cares. I guess I thought a true gamer would play any console no matter who made it...

I care. That's why I posted the subject. I dont' want to see this happen because now I probably won't get the PS3 for another 3 or 4 years.

Not all true gamers dish out $600's for a system though.
 
The PS3 is floundering for two reasons, price and games. Games will work out eventually, but the price is keeping loads of people away form it.

The PS3 will make it through, maybe not on top, but it will still be around, though it may become what the GC was, overlooked by most gamers and developers, even though it was a pretty powerful machine
most gamers will own the PS3 eventually, because like Strubes said not many people are willing to pay out for the price right now
 
I am sure that there are a lot of developers holding back games waiting to see more PS3s sell. Some of those developers are probably scrambling to throw something out for the Wii due to its unexpected success.

I would like to have a PS3, but cannot afford the high price tag. I wish, somehow, they could bring that price down to be more friendly toward my bank account. We need the PS3 for some of the traditional RPGs.

Yeah, actually there's tons. I posted that a couple weeks ago. Did you hear it from friends or from some magazines? It's kinda nuts...but they gotta wait for a fan base before anything.
