Huh?

The Neo Geo was priced high like that because it was worth it. Arcade quality graphics in a home console was where it was at at that time. And I could be wrong on this, but I have heard that it wasn't really that people complained about the cost of teh Neo Geo, it was that it was offered from SNK directly or by a few select outlets. With the Nintendo and Sega consoles, you could buy them at Toys R' Us, Walmart, etc. But that was okay because the Neo Geo was a "gamer's" console.

But, as I have shown, regardless of whether anyone wants to twist up the evidence to support their "fanboy" belief, the PS3 is not the most expensive console out there. Not in 2007 dollars, 1777 dollars, or any dollars in any time frame.
 
We're talking about now it's $1200. No one really said it was the most expensive, but that doesn't make it cheap.

And you're right. It isn't cheap. But my point all along was show proof to the people who complain just to complain. Besides, cheap to you, and cheap to me quite possible could mean two different things.

I'm pretty sure most people agree that they don't want to spend $600 for a video game console. Look at the sales numbers. Low, low.

Actually the PS3 has sold more in it's first few months than the 360 did when it was released.

Yeah but the number the PS3 outsold it by is very slight. Just thought I'd point that out.

In the end, I think all three nex-gen consoles will end up with significant shares of the market (at least in America nad Europe. Forget about Japan for the 360) and each one will end up "winning" although I think this may signal the end of Sony's total domination of the home console market.

Yeah, I think Sony's day for dominance are over. I always liked my Xbox better than the PS2 though! But, the PS3 is a very nice system and I love it and the 360 equal now! And trust me, it was hard to pull equal to my love for the 360!

Neo, didn't you sell your 360 and PS3 like four times? I don't remember who it was, but someone here kept selling and buying consoles and said they weren't crazy about their 360. This is kinda off-topic, but I could have sworn it was you.

Nope. I have my 360 and a 360 Elite. I sold my PS3 and then rebought it. But there was only about 2 weeks difference from me returning it and then rebuying it. But, when I rebought my PS3, the game me a Free Extra Sixaxis Controller, a Free Blu-Ray Movie, and I got to use a $15.00 off coupon. So, the PS3 came out cheap. I have never sold off my 360's and have had one since release. I had a few die on me though and Target let me exchange it both times.

No prob! I also forgot to add that I had a Wii and hated it and sold it, but got another one about a month ago from my neighbor for $200.00 (they bought it and never used it and sold it cheap to me). And like the first Wii, it is just sitting there and the kids ignore it.
