I dont think they like any US made system. At least thats what I heard back when the xbox came out.
why would they want to buy any thing from us when we buy so much from them

I always thought it was weird that the Xbox didn't sell well.

Not sure why they won't accept our games.... and we do accept theirs.  It is truely odd.  Maybe we can adapt better to other culture likes?
*GAMING WISE*

or maybe we are more open?

It probably has a lot to do with culture clashes. Let's face it. Americans are always looking for the next big thing, and are more willing to branch out and try different things, for the most part. Other cultures, Japan included, tends to rely more on tradition. And that may mean they will support a home-grown system because they know that they are made there, and they are more willing to support their own countrymen.

Although thats true to a point. They tend to have more variety of games because they are actually more open to different stuff. They have some crazy games over there. A lot of them dont even make it to the US because companies are afraid to lose money over here. But in Japan they make lots of money and thrive.

crazy games is an understatement.

Where else can you get a shooter with a pig.... in which you shoot down veggies and other things?

Like you hear about American RPG's and Japanese RPG's. Americans that like RPG's tend to like both, yet they get rejected by Japanese people. They love tradition. The Famicom is still being supported there last I heard.
