Skate. Demo up!

yeah, something really wierd happened with this demo for me

i went to bed at 3, and at 7 i woke up, stood up, and turned on my 360. im my head i remember clearly seeing a headline on a website saying "skate demo up" and then i was about to turn off my 360, realizing i had been dremaing. and strangely enough the demo was up!

was it a sign? o_O
 
my download has been at 67% for about a half an hour now

is something wrong?

EDIT - and its done, and i played it

all i have to say is "..."

its extremely hard and awkward to play

ill have to spend more time with it to make a full impression
 
now that iv played it more, i dissagree. it is, for one, gorgeous. the graphics are definitly better than bioshock and gears of war. the controls are masterfully designed. you can skate any way you want to. its brilliant. its turning into a must buy for me.

Ah, the graphics pale in comparison to Bioshock and Gears of War....the awkwardness of the controls will keep casual gamers far away. I still think Tony Hawk's better. That's just my opinion though.
 
Nothing can stop the skate game master that is TONY HAWK!!

but i will try this though when i get outta class...

maybe not gears, but the graphics are way better than bioshock! and yes, it was awkward at first, but when you get used to it, grinding and pulling tricks is a breeze
 
The graphics aren't anywhere close to Bioshock either. The backgrounds all blurry (which doesn't make it seem more real to me), and the animations are weird.
 
dont even talk to me about tony hawk. iv been playing every single game, and buying every single game since thps1

so stop

skate is just like fight night controls, very innovative
 
i agree, i said "Meh" in the beginning

but now that im better at it, skating around and doing moves feels very natural and smooth

it has a big learning curve, which will make a lot of you not like it

but once you get into it, its excellent
 
i didnt have any problem with the controls. im just sayin that i enjoy tony hawk better
 
yeah, but other people did

tony hawk and skate are two very different types of game

tony hawk is arcady, grinding on telephone wires and all, and skate is a simulation, which brings you the true feeling of the sport
