Project Sora is NOT related to Kingdom Hearts btw :lol (Yet it does have a clever picture to fool you with)
Wii gamers need a little reassurance. Well, hope has arrived: Nintendo has just invested more than two million dollars into a new company called Project Sora.
No, that's not Sora as in the hero of Kingdom Hearts; the prospects of teaming up with goth Mickey on Wii are still pretty slim. Rather, Project Sora stems from Sora, the studio that Kirby and Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai left HAL to establish several years ago. Though Sakurai's departure from HAL led many to assume he was breaking off his relationship with Nintendo, his involvement with Smash Bros. Brawl and Nintendo's heavy investment in his new venture suggest that what he actually wanted was simply a little more freedom. Project Sora is the successor to Sakurai's previous company, one established with considerable investment (and majority ownership) by Nintendo.
