Namco Bandai announced Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny for PSP, the first handheld version of Soul Calibur series. The game will have over 20 playable characters, including at least one new character Dampierre. Other new features include an expanded character customization mode, and a new Single Player Mode with over 80 missions designed to teach players to master the game. Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny will be released in summer 2009.

The soul calibur we should have had, you mean? without Star Wars!? :(
 
Yeah, that's pretty bad Mai... I mean the soul series can get real aggravating, but geeze. :lol

I reckon this would actually be pretty awesome... so long as the ignoramuses don't screw it up like they have so far with SC 3 and 4.

Here are some new images of Namco Bandai's PSP weapon fighting game Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, the game is based on Soul Calibur IV, with several new features for the portable version, include Adhoc and online battle, enhanced character creation mode, plus a new playable character named Dampierre, who is a thief.

Screen shots and a video of the game in action! Quite gorgeous indeed!

Ha, I've only broken one...darn story mode!!

Between this, Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection, and Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles...I might eventually have to pick up a PSP.
 
Kratos is definitely a nice addition to the lineup...

I am just imagining the Soul Calibur version of Yoshimitsu fighting Kratos now....
