I don't know if this topic has been made yet, but I saw the Star Trek movie (at first I didnt wanna because i didnt like star trek D:), and it was freaking awesome! Omfg!
Anyone like the old series? I saw some of the series and liked it.. lol

Anyway if you saw the movie and/or want to post anything about it, post it here. :]
 
I really like the old original series alot been a fan for about 4 years now seen every episode of the original series and its 6 movies you cant beat Captain Kirk and his crew with any other ship or crew imo xD. The Next generation and the other series are ok I just prefer the classic though .and I haven't seen the new movie yet so please don't spoil it!

I actually preferred Next Generation (after season 2) in comparison to the other Star Trek series... The original is a classic and had its charms, but is certainly out of date. Deep Space 9 and Enterprise were just disappoinments to me. Voyager was mediocre... If I had to rank them, I'd put them as:

Next Generation
Star Trek
Voyager
Enterprise
Deep Space 9
 
In response to the poll, I can't honestly decide. The new characters of the young Enterprise crew are pretty cool. Kirk has quite an interesting attitude, and Scot is hilarious with his Irish accent.
But there's the disputable point there. They're not the same characters from the original...
due to the "alternate reality" thing they had going. Though do become them later...
they're younger version with a different personality, at least for now.

I guess I can appreciate both versions, now I really think about it.
 
I've only seen the Original Series and so far loving it. Spock is amazing in show and movie....

Anyways, I don't have a preference. Leonard Nimoy is a fantastic actor in his own right as is Zachary Quinto. Both did a good job as Spock. I think Quinto lived up to expectations however. Younger Kirk is soooo much different than older Kirk however. I like this new Kirk. And yes. Scotty is amazing. :lol
 
The Original Series is just plain funny. It might have been good at the time, but it has not aged well. The movie is far better, but the Next Generation easily trumps both of them.

Deep Space 9 behind Enterprise? Seriously? Ok, it was a little boring and unchanging at first, but by the time you got into the Dominion War it was good, better than Enterprise at least.
