Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition and Final Fantasy II Anniversary Edition for PSP, as the first games in the Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary series. Both games will be contain all the new elements in Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls for GBA, plus further enhancements in the graphics and music, as well as new CG movies and some innovations on the levels and contents.

- Square Enix revealed new details in Final Fantasy Tactics: Shishi Sensou for PSP, in addition to the Onion Knights, the game will also have the job class Dark Knight, and Balthier from Final Fantasy XII, as a playable character in the game. Balthier will play an important role in the game.

:lol  Now... I have a question...  Why would they put even more material on this for the PSP version?  IT's cool and all... but with the better selling on the GBA & DS (granted some CGs and all couldn't be on that platform)...  why would they hold out the innovations on the levels and other content?

See... that's like if they brought Final Fantasy 7 to the DS and gave a whole bunch of extras for that. It's a little odd... but cool never-the-less.

It is kinda cool. Because if I were a rabbid FF freak, then I'd be like, "I need the PSP versions to complete my set" instead of, "Hey cool. But I already have that on my [insert console/handheld here]. Square makes more money, Sony sells more PSPs and everyone's happy.

Final Fantasy is always fun. Well almost... I did not like Tactics Advance for GBA. It bored the heck out of me.

EDIT: Final Fantasy Tactics: Lion's War will be released on May 10th, 2007. (based on the original FF Tactics)
