Pit Fighter!!

That game was so awful it was amazing!!!
I remember playing this game on my Atari Lynx. :'( It was really, for some reason, the only real fighting game for the system. Probably the best home version of the game. If that is saying anything. :lol

I hope that we will see some sort of revival of the genre.

It has already happened. In Japan the genre has been fine for ages. In the states the release of Street Fighter IV pretty much revived the whole scene. After Street Fighter IV came Blaz Blue then Tekken and then finally Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. There was some other fighters that didn't do as well as the ones mentioned above (King of Fighters XII and Samurai Showdown) this was due to no marketing for the games. With Super Street Fighter IV, Blaz Blue Continuum Shift and with the news that Arksys will be able to continue the Guilty Gear franchise and the recent announcement of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 the genre is alive and well.

Nothing says, I HAVE TO PLAY THIS GAME than with a title like this:

The Attack of the Phantom Karate Devils C64. :lol

but it is missing melee..... how do you put both super smash bros 64 and brawl but not melee???? sure i really don't care about melee anymore (imo brawl is so much better) but if they are going to mention the first and last why not mention the most popular one?
