Tired of sharing so i am buying my own... any suggestions XD?

Zidart

WII, PS3 AND 360 FTW (also nintendo DS XD)
I am dead tired of sharing ps3s with my sister, so I am buying my own next week. However I sort of wonder which model is the best one to get right now or the "cheapest yet amazing" because there are sooo many of them >_> (is not as easy as picking DSi VS DSlite or PSP vs PSPgo)...

with that said i also plan on buying 3-4 games with the console, any suggestions? since i am buying it next week i will obviously get Blazblue: continuum shift and I am also buying Final Fantasy XIII.. so i have 2 slots empty i already beaten bayonetta and Metal gear solid 4 on my sister's ps3 so there's no need for those just in case XD

Heavy Rain. :D Never played it, but its the same makers of Indigo Prophecy, and I've heard really good things about the title.
Also, I'm not sure if you're into first person shooters, but I've spent countless hours on Modern Warfare 2 at my buddies place. It's addictive even if you're horrible at the game :P

My friend has a 120g slim model, he seems to like it a lot and memory isnt an issue. But, I believe 250g models are only $50 more, so if you wanted to go with one of those, you more than double your memory.
I don't have any experience, but based off the information from a few of my friends thats my recommendation. :)

heavy rain I already beat on my sister's ps3 and sorry i am not really into shooters T_T thanks though

however i think i might get the 120gig slim model... i don't think my sister ever filled her 60 gig one so i doubt i will have memory issues

ZI!!! :D!! Oh this brings great tears of joy to me!

120GB Slim might be right up your alley good sir! :) 250GB is for crazy nut jobs who download stuff like an insane rabid gerbil with too much coffee to drink, like myself. :)

As for games, may I suggest 3D DOT GAME HEROES? Super Street Fighter IV? Blaze Blue like you said, since each is just $40 :) Not to mention a lovely selection of PS3 Greatest Hits for $29.99 and under! ^_^ Like inFamous!

Soul Calibur 4 is $20 at my local Walmart. Dunno if it's like that where you live or not though.
You should get Dragon Age Origins, if you like Action RPGs. ;D

Are you someone who's looking like you might enjoy the Move? If that's the case, then you might want to wait for the Move bundle. If not, you can't really go wrong with the 120GB. It's cheaper and has the same features as the 250. If you ever need more space, you can always purchase a much bigger 2.5" Sata HD.

If you want full backwards compatibility then I would suggest looking for the original 60GB PS3. The ones in between have software compatibility and don't play all games.

Creepin is right about that. Yet I still love how every PS3 can play PS1 games without problems! Which baffles me why it's such a hassle to get PS2 games up and running!

The Emotion Engine. For some reason, PS2 games require that chip. I agree it's baffling since you would think that the Cell processor would be able to handle that.

EE was the greatest invention ever. First game I remember using that beast to it's potential had to be Devil May Cry. Yet, I agree. If the processor is so amazing, why can't it handle the flames on Sweet Tooth's head in Twisted Metal Black??

3D Dot Game Heroes..and I know you like hard games, so Demon's Souls is right up your alley. Plus it's on sale at Gamestop right now for $30 or $20. :)

thanks everyone.. sadly 3D game dot heroes was not at the store when i went and bought it T_T so it'll be a while till i get it... HOWEVER

i did get the 120gb slim.. I already have a wii so i don't need to buy more motion controlled games.. besides none of the move games interest me atm (with the wii at least there were games that got my attention)

i bought bayonetta(got it from my sister by buying her a CoD game), pre-ordered BB:CS, got god of war 3 and Final fantasy XIII, hopefully whenever i find 3D game dot heroes i'll buy that

thank you for everything guys ^-^ i already made a list with all your suggestions in so when i beat these games i go buy those.

(by the way it was a good thing i bought all those games today.. they were ALL on sale)
