What Fighter Do You Find To Be The Most Well Rounded In Quality And Realism?

I'm going to have to go with the "Tekken" series.I find the character movements and how realistic their given martial art of choice moves are.I love the awesome background graphics such as the way Namco used Kodak in "Tekken III" to produce wonderful sunsets, etc. I'm not sure if Kodak was used in all of them,I just know that 3 did.

Godspeed.

Tekken's jugglers can get ridiculous. The only fighter I felt was more realistic in terms of true martial arts was the Dead or Alive series. Tekken grab holds and such have to be timed, while DOA always throws you for a loop when you don't expect them.

Virtua Fighter is the most technical of all fighters. DoA and Tekken are very very similar, just that Tekken is a bit redic with it's juggles. Those 3 are the best depiction of real martial arts but, Virtua Fighter depicts them better.

What's your opinion on the existing "Killer Instinct" titles?

Fun fighters but, it's too much like previous Mortal Kombats, which are barely fighters. I will say that the new Mortal Kombat has me intrigued, looks like they are taking elements from stable fighters and putting them in the realm of MK. Though the best fighters to get into nowadays are Street Fighter, Tekken, BlazBlue, Virtua Fighter, and maybe DoA and Soul Calibur.

I'm currently playing "Mortal Kombat Vs.DC Universe".It's a quasi fighter in my opinion, but I'm certainly liking it.Have you played it before?

Really, Tekken 3, Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 5, and Soul Calibur II are among my favorites.

There was a Playstation game called Thrill Kill, never fully released, that was also quite awesome.

VF is a solid game, and c'mon as for realistic VF gets that no contest. Like all the fighting styles are an actual fighting style and other than Dural it doesn't stray too far from the realism.

While Tekken has had dinosaurs, demons, angels, robots. Along with the juggling and some weird moves. I like Tekken and all and hell VF isn't even my favorite fighter but I think VF covers more of what Kaz is talking about

Point taken... yeah, this thread really doesn't make any sense. If we're talking about realism in fighting games, Tekken should be at the bottom of the list.

Between Yoshimitsu, Konimitsu, Devil, Ogre, Gon, Alex, etc...

Tekken is an awesome fighting game, but not realistic in the least.

I'll point out that it's not just realism, but about Quality too. And by what's been said, I think Virtua Fighter takes the cake.
