What makes it feel like Thanksgiving?

What makes it feel like Thanksgiving Day to you? Is it the anticipation of Black Friday? Certain TV program?
I think the watching of the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Day special sort-of launches the Thanksgiving Day feel for my family. Pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, and cakes, various smells that feel the house, that has to be there too. Everybody together combined with those things makes it Thanksgiving Day.

I have to work at my friggin' job, which I hate, on Thanksgiving.

I went to an Irish pub tonight for a pint and some turkey on potato bread.

Family, is what it used to be. This is my first Thanksgiving without them, so I'll say friends. My neighbor invited me to his family's Thanksgiving festivities and whatnot, probably going to be a little awkward, but I'm still looking forward to it.

I look forward to family and a yummy meal. I love Thanksgiving food, but I am in Canada and they do not have Thanksgiving in November, they have it in October, and when they had it in October my husband and I used that holiday to go see the kids in USA, so I missed both thanksgivings this year. My fam usually has a big dinner but most of my siblings were not in the state this year, so I wonder how it went.

Thrav, did u end up going to ur friends house for dinner? Was it awkward er nice? And that was really nice of ur friend to think of like that.

On Thanksgiving I think I just watched episodes of X-Files and played Dungeons and Dragons online lol

Yeah, I went to his family's Thanksgiving meal. It was awkward at first, but I got to know some of them and ended up enjoying myself.
