What odd Ps1 or Ps2 Glitches have you run across?

In tomb raider last revolution, i got really far but there was ment to be an item i needed to use with another to clear a bit jump but it wasn't were it was ment to be and the item that i picked up went missing from my invontary. I never did start again i was to pissed off and the fact that i might do it to me again lol, i did try from my last save as well but it wasn't there then either
 
If you're talking games, there are way too many for me to mention, but i'll just talk about one.

Driver for the PSone was extremely glitchy. I rememer the mode where you had to see how long you can outrun these copcars. It was crazy because the copcars would hit you in under a second, and just knock you all over the place. Anyway, at least once in every 3 attempts, I would get knocked into the air, over the buildings, and everything would go a weird yellow colour, and my car would just float in mid-air.

Then there's the GTA games, but don't get me started on those...
 
Well, it isn't really a glitch... but the little silver balls on the disc spinner have popped out before

And glitch, probably the ghost town thing you can fly to in GTA
 
Sphix and the cursed mummy has got a glitch. Even tho i haven't got that far yet i know its there so im not going to be stupid enought to do it lol

Theres a part u can save, but it u say and turn ur ps2 off and go back to it the door that should be open to go thro with be closed and lock and u can't open it so u would have to start the game again
 
Yeah, i've heard rumours about the purple discs, they've never messed me around though.

I've also heard of a rumour that in Vice City, sometimes saving at the Cherry Popper Ice Cream place can erase your save file. Probably false though.
 
When I first got my PS2, I bought it used at Gamecrazy. I also got a game which was, unfortunately, one of the blue/purple ones. I tried to play the game, but it never would work in my PS2. Finally, I called Gamecrazy and asked them about it and they said to bring it in and they'd fix it/replace it.
 
The PS2, sadly. I think one of the versions they made of the PS2 can't read the blue discs, or something like that. I'm just glad I paid a little extra just in case something like this happened, or I'd have had to buy a whole new PS2, not get mine replaced.
 
So they gave you a "new" used PS2 or fixed the one you brought in? If they fixed it...I'd like to know how. I tried cleaning the lens but that did no good.
 
They gave me back my money, and I used it and went ahead and paid a little more for a new one after that event.
Does your PS2 not play blue/purple discs?
 
Well...I only have one Purple disc..TTT...It worked at first but now it makes this aweful sound...PS2 starts screeching and such.

Weird. Maybe you should see if all copies of it are purple. If you can get one that's black, it should work fine then.
 
Ive never had any problems with the purple disks yet. But like violatd i have have problems with my ps2 not accepting games but its only certain ones, and dvds as well i have problems with some. They won't pick up at all and make horrible screetching noises.
 
Maybe yall have possessed PS2's, and they only like some games and not others.

Are the games it rejects black? (whoa, that soundeed racist 0_0)
 
Ya they are the black ones, but its not all games just a certain few. And dvds are black backs there normal so i don't know y mine does it. I put mine down to over use. I use it for both games and watch all my dvds
 
aya...sounds to me like you could use a lens cleaning. I had a good link up over at EZ with detailed instructions. BV...anyway you can retreive that link for us???
