I'm pretty big on Castlevania, back to II: Simon's Quest, III: Dracula's Curse up through Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow...

Since I have a PS2, I have been thinking of delving into the 3D world of Castlevania, but have no idea which game to opt for...

The only thing I have to go on thus far is that Curse of Darkness (I think) has a sword-using character. From past games, I prefer the swords to whips, but don't know how that translates to the 3D environment...

Anyhow, help me out here and vote which Castlevania you like!

Hmm..I only played Symphony of the Night, the older ones, and the ones on GBA/GBSP. I think the 2D versions are better than the 3D.

Lament of Innocence is short and sweet, feels more like a straight forward version of CastleVania 64, sadly the only bonus options after finishing the game are fighting insanely hard bosses for "fun". Curse of Darkness has alot of variety and much longer compared to the last one, plus some sweet bonuses, including the hidden character, Trevor Belmont from CV3.
