Do you think that would be worth $795?

It's ok, but believe it or not that PC is already outdated! The motherboard does not even accept AM3 cpu's and the newer DDR3. I'd personally look for something with more current technology so you're not left behind right out of the gate. I assume you have a monitor, mouse, and keyboard now, right? Skip those parts and spend the money for a better system and then upgrade those later. Monitors drop in price pretty often so you could save up for a 22" pretty easily.

I must disagree with X2. There are more powerful processing platforms that carry more RAM available, however, that setup will handle anything you can currently throw at it in the gaming market.

If you were doing graphic design a system with more RAM and hyperthreading would be a better choice. That setup also might be limited if you like doing upgrades.

As far as a consumer computer for gaming, yeah, for $800 that'll have you well covered.

Why spend money on a system that's already outdated when you can buy the newer technology for not much more money and it will last longer? Makes no sense to me.

Edit: I should note that if the motherboard accepted AM3 and DDR3 I'd say it's worth it, but this setup doesn't even give you the option to upgrade later on.

Well after reading your replies I think it would be worth it, because I really don't upgrade much. Also x2 you mentioned the monitor, but I would need one because this would be my first computer, the one we have now we is one my whole family uses. Anyway I still have to get the money, but thanks for your help. :D

For a family PC, it's pretty good. I'm assuming no one in your family really tinkers with PC's (hence why you won't be upgrading.) I suggest before you pull the trigger, look around a little more. Especially during this time of season. Some good deals can be had and you might end up with a better PC.

Well if you really don't plan on upgrading then it's probably worth it. Although it would be nice to have the option at least. I'd do like creepin' said and wait just a bit on it, though. If you can find one that accepts AM3 or whatever Intel's new one is that'd be the way to go.

+1 definitely look for additional deals that may arise.

Also, if you plan on using it for gaming, make sure that it has at least a mid-level graphics card, not wimpy integrated graphics.

I believe it does come with one. The ATI Radeon HD 4650.
