Well take these for what they are worth. I dont know if they are in game or rendered cut scenes, but if the actual gameplay looks anything like these screens then im going to get me an xbox 360 as soon as possible.

( whipping the tears from my cheak ) omg!!!! what is going on. i dont know wheather to think that this is going to far or that this is great ::D ...,,,, its crazy!

And the lines between reality and videogames become a little more blurred. That's amazing, even though I was expecting to see graphics that good, its still amazing to actually see it.

HOLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY :o :o :o :o :o :o

whoa :lol

honestly.... I am not amazed.

and further more, before I comment, I want to see actual in game screens..etc.

I don't care about FMV... or rendered images.

Give me the normal game content and we can talk.

I totally agree with you BV. But I dont think that they are rendered images, at least I dont believe they are. I think they are demonstrations showcasing the box's power. Like when Sony did those with the original PS showing that pointy head thing. As far as home consoles go, if these type of graphics are pulled off, then I'd say thats pretty amazing.

wow....the graphics are incredibly realistisc.....i am not impressed however.

I dont like games looking THAT realistic....it makes you forget your playing a game....not a life sim or something lol
My Dreamcast still pwns this lol 8)

I don't think they are what the console can pull off.  OR its what the console can pull off in "stills"  not in motion.

You know what I mean?

And stealth... he has a point... there is a point in which games should not be THAT realistic.  I am not saying the Xbox 360 looks over  realistic.... but I play games because it is not real world.  I play games because they look different, feel different...etc.  I am not opposed to superb graphics.  I am opposed to games looking like real life.  That can take away from games IMO.

Yeah I do. But just because its a still doesnt mean that its not a still frame from some type of video that displays the box's power. The reason I agree with you is because these havent been confirmed, at least not to my knowledge. So it can go both ways. And I do think its possible for a console to pull these graphics off. Again, im an optimist. Whether MS actually made that type of system yet is still up in the air.

Well, in my opinion, better graphics can only enhance playing a videogame. Every developer that creates a game tries to suck them into their own created worlds, put them in the shoes of the main character, and give them a chance to do or be someone they couldn't in real life. It's a lot easier to accomplish that when the visuals show exactly what the developer has in mind, when they're not restricted by a system's capabilities.

If you look at any number of games, from Zelda, to RE4, Doom III, I mean hell, take the new Conker game that's coming out. Overhauled graphics were a big part of what made these games so much better than their predecessors (or in Zelda's case, why its so anticipated). The better the graphics of a game the more the gamer accepts the world they are being shown and the more they can enjoy it.

Edit: Oh and the screenshots were taken from a game called 2 Days to Vegas. Some are obviously not in game screens but character models and such, but others look like they definitely could be in game screens, and even the character model stills are pretty impressive. I definitely think the next gen systems could be capable of graphics that good and probably even better. Remember how amazed we all were to see Rogue Leader screens, or even Ocarina of Time ones?

If computers today can make Half-Life 2 look almost that good, the consoles coming out, with their much superior hardware, will be able to do those graphics without a problem.  Besides, consoles are made for gaming... computers still run other things in the background and devs can't go all hardcore due to the innumerable amount of hardware differences between each computer.

Edited to fix a typo :p

man all i saw on g4tv yesterday at e3 was them show some games on xbox 1. there really trying to push some kind of non-hardcore gaming machine. there trying to appeal to much to the none gaming crowed. and they need to focus on the people that will pay that much for a console

It was apparently announced that there would be a Halo 3 available upon launch.....I believe Perfect Dark Zero, and Project Gotham racing are supposed to launch at that time, too.
