xbox live questions guys i need help

The Freeman
i have a series of questions about xbox live

1. if i use one of the free 2 month cards that, say, came with my halo 2 game (the expired ones work, lets clear that up right now) on my xbox 360, do i need to use a credit card to redeem it?

2. when i buy a prepaid year card from the store, do i need to use a credit card to redeem it?

3. when i use the free 48 xbox live trial from the burger king games, do i need to sue a credit card to redeem it?

the reason behind all of these ridiculous credit card questions is because my mom is very difficult...about everything.........and she says she wont let me use it - even if i give her cash for the xbox live 0 cause she says theres gonna be "hidden fees''

right after i got off the microsoft hotline to ask them if there were in fact hidden fees, they said no, shes like NO THERES HIDDEN FEES

thanks guy :(

no credit cards required. period. type in the code and you're good to go

thank you so much! :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D ;D

what if i want to download the new halo 2 maps? credit card required?

also, i heard something about acheivements in games can be used as currency?

is this true?

I was under the impression that no credit card was required for free trials but to pay for another 2 months or so you needed a credit card, unless you want to keep getting free trials and making a bunch of different accounts

what your confusing I think is achievment points and microsoft points, they are not the same

microsoft points are points used to buy online material that is charged on your credit card, so you would need to use a credit card to buy the new halo 2 maps (until they become free)

achievement points are the collective score of all your achievments you've unlocked in all your games which doesn't let you buy anything

if you want to get around using a credit card for your xbox live account you might try using gift cards (not sure if it would work though)

Your mom is kinda weird, no offense. Actually, she's kinda like my dad. For years before I actually had a life, I wanted to be a member of Runescape. I told him I would pay him the $5 a month to join, but he said they would "jack up the price" after the first few months. I checked the site, it said the rate was always $5 and he still didn't believe it.

You just type in the code for all of those (not a credit card number, the code on the card). I just registered a 12-month xbox live thingy and I didn't need a credit card.

As loong as you buy an XBL card from a store YOU DO NOT NEED A CREDIT CARD... same goes for the points in which you buy things, if you buy a card from the store you DONT need a card. IF you go just to the xbox and want to get XBL or points you need a credit card. It should give you the option of paying by credit card or prepaid card

Lets recap - go to the store and buy your XBL kit and Microsoft points, no credit card is required

i have a bunch of free 2 month cards. do i need to create a new account to use them every time?

and if i get the free month included w/ the 360, can i use a 2 month w/o creating a new account?

i just want to keep one gamertag. period.

One gamertag. You log into your gamertag then redeem the code and it gives you the XBL for that tag
