Xbox Live Woes

This is my story.... and you're not part of it.
My Xbox won't connect to XBL because of my MTU setting... I dont know how to fix it and the website i am referred to is down. Can anyone help me with this? It worked just fine yesterday and now it has been doing this
 
oh yea my XBL is rigged to my old email so i didnt get anything... darn it my bad
 
Yea i was on yesterday, trying to decide whether to buy some points and get Alien Hominid, Worms, and Castlevania. I have yet to try my online luck at Rainbow Six
