Your Wii better be CLEAN! (Smash Bros is picky!)

Enterbrain reported that over 500,000 copies of Super Smash Bros. Brawl were sold in Japan, but there were defective discs reported by customers. After investigations the cause was dirty laser reader in Wii; the game is on a dual layer disc and Wii cannot read the disc if the laser head is dirty.

Hm. I would hope mine doesn't have dust, but I wouldn't guarantee that it doesn't, especially since prior to No More Heroes it wasn't being played much.

You can send it in, along with your copy of the game, to be repaired for free. Nobody smokes inside of my house, so it'll be fine.

Your game has nothing to do with it, all you have to do is back up your saves on an SD card and send the Wii in.

Official statement by Nintendo says you have to send in your game as well.
