10 years of the Game Addicts??

Well, I couldn't just be like, "I'm RJ- I want back in."
I had to make you like me first... and prove that I wasn't a little brat anymore. :lol
And it worked, that's the best part >.<

It's hard not to admire that kind of dedication. :D

I've been here since 2001 (I think). I was 14. Life was good.

This place was always great to come to during a lot of transitionary periods in my life. It gave me some place to just forget about things and talk videogames. That's kind of priceless at times.

I also think it taught me a lot about writing, persuasion, respect, understanding the other side of a debate, and a number of other things that have served me well in many ways beyond this forum. I am super embarrassed about a lot of the things I've said in the past. I don't know how you guys put up with me at times. I used to be so certain about everything, haha. I still talk like that sometimes, but now I'm a little more aware of it, like I have some understanding about how bold a statement is when it leaves no room for disparate views.

It's been a good decade. :D

yeah, it's been a fun ride so far. I still remember FHQ. He drove me nuts, yet at the same time I always came to the forum in anticipation of what he might say.
 
:lol I remember I asked mastermario to help because I needed a mod. I think he was the 1st mod. Well he ended up deleting a crap ton of topics because he was cleaning up or something :lol

So I banned him. :lol He said he was sorry and what not... So I let him back in and he's been a mod ever since. I thought he trolled me to delete posts or something (common stupid ezboard thing people used to do)


Still... Good memories.

I came over from the Ezboard as well. The reason I joined was because at the time, Nintendo hate was pretty strong but I loved Nintendo, and Game Addicts has always been Nintendo friendly. Plus, it was active!

I didn't become a mod for BV for a long time, though, because there was a portion of time where I had no internet access. Otherwise my post count would be a lot higher! :lol When I finally got internet back I was like "Yes!!"

I remember back in the day getting into lots of arguments with Neph. OMG. Now I look back on them and I'm like "I was such a fangirl." I still don't think we would get along but I'm not as big of a Nintendo fangirl as I was back then.

I hated the ps1 and ps2.

Ah, good ole' EGA is back up and running like never before. I've had plenty of good memories in my years on this forum. My somewhat notorious repertoire has faded into history as trolling has become somewhat of a...less fun activity. I joined this forum at the ripe age of 15, and now I'm 20.

My favorite memories are the ones debating with Strubes, FHQ, and of course, Runefan. :P

His second account Hakumen was never banned, so he can post under that. Unless he specifically wants to use his Boom2ickle name.
