I'm getting a bit tired of people coming into this folder just to trash the PS3. This is afterall a game store and it gives a bad example to someone curious about the new consoles. I personally dispise Microsoft's consoles (though I've shown some interest in the 360) but I don't find it hard to stay away from the Xbox folders. Also, you people that don't like the PS3 really need to make a better argument other than "BUT DEY GOT NO GUD GAMEZ!!!1".

Hmm..I haven't seen anyone say it like that. You gotta live with the facts...the only way people will even look at the PS3 is if it has a great selection of games...and that's not going to happen for another 2 years or so. The PS3's just total garabage right now....and plus...the price...is terrible...unless you actually wanna spend money on Blu-ray which will prolly declare bankrupcy in a couple years anyways.
And the 360..for the price..and for the quality games..is the best system to have right now..I mean it's cool that you hold a grudge towards microsoft consoles...but tell me...what warrants you having a grudge towards them and some of the members of this board having a grudge towards the PS3? I don't even think it's a grudge, they're just pointing out facts. If they come in here and say what they want about the PS3, it's cause they have an opinion.
I'm not telling anyone they can't have an opinion, but it must put a bad example on a gaming site when people who don't even own PS3's come in here just to trash it. It's constantly, not just every once in a while. The difference between me holding a grudge on Microsoft and Jack and Hindes holding a grudge on Sony is that I don't even bother going in the Xbox folders, because I at least respect that people like the console. (well, that and I'd probably get my head torn off if I hated on the 360 these days.

And I'm getting sick of the "no good games" argument considering it's only been out since what, November in the States? Give it time. If this time next year there's still no good games, feel free to unleash the beast, but for now I'm thinking there will be considering there were for both PS1 and PS2.

These kinds of topics are a breeding ground for this kind of discussion. I don't hold a grudge against the PS3, I love the previous consoles. I just can't imagine why they would steal them, it's really dumb. As far as the "no good games", it's an opinion. Because I mean, I think that the games right now, aren't anything special. Sony will come around, especially with the upcoming Ninja Gaiden and the inevitable God of War III (which is going to rock). Sony's days of being ragged on will end soon.

I'm agreeing with Retro on this one. The "I hate [insert brand here]" argument simply sucks. And you know, between the 14 game systems that are sitting in my house, I find that there are tons of games that I can enjoy because I am not so narrow-minded.
Is it? Is it the system it's self that's garbage, or the selection? I admit, I wasn't all that enthusiastic about the PS3. But since I have been reading about upcoming titles and current ones, I am tempted to go out and buy one as soon as I have the cash. So it had a stumbled start. That doesn't mean it's not going to take off. And I hope it does.
As far as price, it's not that bad when you look at the big picture. After all, my NES retailed at $179 back in 1985.
I guess the bottom line is just be open minded. And please don't recycle the "Sega sucks" era of gaming...

I totally agree with this. I mean the ps2 had a horrible launch lineup also and its the best console of all time (IMO.... settle down). Anyways give it time, i have a feeling we'll be ragging on the wii lineup more than anything...

Well if you had an opinion....and a legitament one....like no good games (who cares if it jus came out)...or too pricey....then you could go in the xbox folders and state "hey...I don't like this system..it's terrible because the hard drive doesn't hold all that much...and xbox live is a jip"....sure it's ur opinion and others may disagree. It's not hating on a system...cause I used to be the biggest sony fanboy...but I'm just disgusted with the PS3.

No, the PS3 isn't garbage...all the games are though. Its a good system (WAY too expensive for me because my yearly income is zero dollars). The reason why people hate the PS3 so much now is because by this time, the 360 had several, good noteworthy games, let's see...Call of Duty 2, PGR 3, GRAW and Oblivion had just come out, and Condemned, even though it didn't sell that well was a good game too. The PS3 has Resistance, Virtua Fighter 5 (which was a pretty big disappointment from what i hear, i.e no online play) and Oblivion. Not a great lineup. I'm sure t will improve...probably not this year because the PS3 has like 2 big exclusive titles...but eventually.Retro Hero said:

I know the PS3 is lacking in games right now (apart from Oblivion), but I'm confident that will change.
I too was confident that would change until 90% of the PS3's major exclusives jumped ship and went multiconsole. I just don't see any reason to buy a PS3 at this point or for the next year or two at least. 8)Retro Hero said:

Neither can I. Its been out for such a small amount of time that no one should really be calling it garbage. It just well...sucks...at least for now. I'm confident that in a few years it won't. 8)
