That's true.

I voted for Halo 2 though because at my store and a lot of other GameStops, the demand for San Andreas hasn't reached the level of Halo 2 pre-orders. The Collector's Edition, for example, has already exceeded the max for launch day. We had to stop taking reserves on that. Now anyone who orders the Collector's Edition of Halo 2 will have to wait until Nov. 16 to get it. We're still taking pre-orders on the regular edition of Halo 2, but that's also filling up pretty rapidly. I think people might not be as hyped for San Andreas since there's already been two GTAs this generation, while there's only been one Halo.

But maybe it's just that the people who want San Andreas aren't as concerned about getting it on the first day as the people who want Halo 2 are. So San Andreas could definitely end up beating out Halo 2 by the end of the year.

It should be very close between those 2 then. Another big seller I think will be Burnout 3, not as big as the above two mentioned but I have a feeling it'll do well.

I think San Andreas will pull through. I mean, it's one of the big reasons why PS2's flew off store shelves so quickly to begin with.

I put Halo 2. I know all my Xbox-owning friends want it, but not many of my PS2-owning friends want San Andreas. In fact, only my PC-owning friend wants San Andreas (other than me of course).

I'm not really looking forward to San Andreas at all. I just don't see the point if it's going to be exactly the same as GTA 3 and GTA: Vice City were. I'd only look foward if there were major changes.

Think of it as a super GTA, pretty much same as others just really expanded the GTA series and spent 2 WHOLE year building on it. It's just a really fun tital and is just enjoyable.

I like the fact that they have added numerous things to it: you have to watch your weight, you can have 3 people hang out of your car and shoot while you drive, the area of San Andreas contains 4 cities and is 5 times the size of Vice City (which is twice the size of GTA3). There's always more vehicles, you can get haircuts, outfits, etc. If you eat too much (watch your weight above) your character will get fat and run slower, so if you work out in the gym more, your character will look like a body builder. Plus, it's just fun to wreak havoc on the city.

I still wish they were smart enough to have multiplayer though... Even if it was 2 people each on 4 consoles (8 total) that would be incredible. They'd still need to have all the civilians and cars in the game to make it fun, and it'd also be cool with game modes like capture the flag, but I don't want to ask TOO much...

I'd say that both GTA: SA and Halo 2 are going to be the biggest sellers! Might be record broken when both these games are finally released to consoles.

Btw, isn't GTA:SA going to be on Xbox as well? Or is it just PS2 exclusive?

It'll probably be like all the others, in which it's on PS2 for about a year and a half, then go to Xbox and PC. At least that's what I'm guessing.

It's probably going to be close between GTA and Halo 2, but I think GTA is going to pull out in front

Hopefully Halo 2 will get good sales. I'm tempted to say the Metroid Prime: Echos will do well on the Cube, but I'm personally not a fan of Metroid Prime (though I dig the other Metroid games).

GTA: San Andreas should go very well for the PS2...

Overall I'd have to say that I'm thinking Halo 2 will take the cake simply because there is so much Hype about it. Besides, there is going to be a release of a PC version after it comes out on the Xbox, right?
