Prepare to set eyes to stun, Mr. Spock.

Infinity Ward announced at a press event in Los Angeles today that, to commemorate the release of the game, Microsoft will be releasing a brand new model of the Xbox 360 based on Modern Warfare 2.

This new console will be black, with Modern Warfare 2 branding, and will also come packing a 250GB HDD (so, yes, it is real), a copy of the game and two wireless controllers. It'll be $399, and is apparently already available for preorder.

i agree if Microsoft is willing to set all its eggs in one bundle...err basket.

maybe IW offered Microsoft more money for a bundle than bungie did? didnt halo have a bundle for Halo 3 tho?
 
Well looks like Europe is on par with this deal, except they are getting FORZA 3 instead of CODMW2.

Microsoft will release a Xbox 360 Super Elite Bundle in Europe on October 30 for 329.99 Euro, which includes a 250GB Xbox 360 Elite, 2 wireless controllers, 1 headset, and a copy of Forza Motorsport 3.

There's a bundle for ODST, but it's UK only right now. No special console, either; just an Elite.

I already got a 350 GB hard drive in 1 PS3 and a 120 GB in a backup so I don't need a 250 GB X360. I need it to work....one has a Falcon chip!

Good call. I'm on the same boat. I got enough space in my PS3, and I'll probably upgrade the hard drive soon. But my 360, it just needs to work...though I've been thinking about selling it.
 
ODST isn't even a full game, IMO...it's just an addition to Halo 3. Modern Warfare 2 is a completely new game, with all kinds of stuff. All of my friends are burned out on ODST already. People won't be burned out on MW2 for a long, long while.
